"Recently we were unfortunate to have a flood in our home which necessitated the replacement of our cork tile flooring. Duncan Floor Co were nominated by the insurance company to undertake the work. What a pleasure it was to deal with this company. Everyone who came to our home was on time and we were delighted with the standard of workmanship. Firstly a visit to assess the damage and to measure up the job and an explanation of the time frame. This was particularly helpful as it meant we could plan our movements for the period. The tiles were lifted very efficiently and the job left clean and tidy. No mean feat as it was a big area. Then the tiler arrived and sanded the concrete floor, put two coats of special plaster over the next couple of days making sure the floor was properly dry in between and laid the tiles. Our stairs needed to have three rungs removed to allow the machines access to the area. A very professional job indeed. The tiler also advised us to create a barrier between the two storeys of our home to contain dust from the sanding machines. This information was particularly helpful. The floor was sealed, sanded and three coats of varnish applied - sanded carefully between coats. The carpet edges were replaced after the floor was dried. We are delighted with the result, the attention to detail and the very pleasant and professional tradesmen." Val Welsh
